3/5/2024 Main feed update

Here are a few key updates to the feed:

We're introducing an upvote and downvote system, similar to Reddit. This feature will enhance your interaction on WOK and play a significant role in building your rating. Expect to see rankings displayed soon, as this functionality will extend to groups and other sections as well.

Additionally, we're enabling the ability to comment on other users' comments, not just on the main post. This means instead of having a single layer of comments, you can now engage in multi-level discussions, creating a more dynamic and interconnected comment tree.

So I have been watching the new format on the feed page for a couple days now. And there is a lot less activity. Is it because no one wants to comment? Or they are now afraid to comment because of the point system? Maybe the post are going somewhere else? It is very much like the old KA if I remember correctly. And it feels and looks like some other sites. Which with me is okay. What say all of you?

Yes, there's been less activity, but... Activity always comes in spurts. (There's a pun there, I guess) I think changes to the appearance of this and all websites tends to act as a speed bump, distracting users briefly and making folks 'lose their train of thought', so a falloff is to be expected. imho. My hunch is that the visible 'points' will be helpful, and I'm waiting to see what the "multi-level discussions" will look like.

So in the last couple of days when I go to the site and the home page, it comes up with the previous format first. But the feed is up to date. If I hit home again it refreshes and comes back as the new format. Anyone else having that issue?
